The objective of this workshop is to define alternative contents and strategies to incorporate in the curricula of future professionals of the Ag industry the theoretical and practical aspects of ICTs, as indispensable tools of daily work, as well as the definition of strategies and contents for professional upgrade training courses, oriented to professionals who did not have in their university formation contact with these new technologies.

Objectives of this 2 hours session include: 1) Overview of wireless device networks, 2) Point-to-point, broadcast, and mesh networking, 3) Benefits and limitations of demonstrated system 4) Discussion of hardware used, 5) Demonstration of device programming, 6) Connection of devices for monitoring and control, and 7) Wireless data acquisition and control of devices.
